Nous Vignerons de Gigondas To coincide with its 50th anniversary, Gigondas is paying a visual tribute to the men and women who have personified the appellation over the years. Head up to the village’s Hospices for a visual and sound journey back in time in this immersive and poetic experience. In a softly-lit setting, some thirty backlit photographs come and go as the light changes. The way the images are presented is designed to symbolise the efforts made to secure appellation status: this collective endeavour was driven by the conviction, enterprising spirit and perseverance of several visionary individuals. It is a reminder that ‘terroir’ does not belong to people, but that they are an intrinsic part of it. A film shows animated sequences that breathe life into the pictures presented beforehand, alternating with filmed testimonials of winegrowers, the appellation’s protagonists. Practical information: Free admission. Exhibition is open from the 20 of July to the 31th of August, 202. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm and from 3pm to 7pm (closed Mondays)
