News Gigondas ‘Atelier Sensoriel’ Visit Gigondas to test your sense of smell in a bastion of medieval history – the Hospices de Gigondas! In conjunction with Jean Lenoir (Le Nez du Vin), the wine growers of Gigondas are delighted to announce the opening of a sensory workshop where you can discover the magic of wine from an aromatic perspective. Open from July 5 to August 25, 2019, admission is free and includes innovative and fun spaces; one of them is even specially designed to arouse your children’s sense of smell. A terroir and biodiversity area, with an astonishing animated film on the geological formation of the Dentelles de Montmirail, will offer you a different take on our mountain range… In ruins at the end of the 1970s, the Hospices de Gigondas were entirely restored by the people of Gigondas in the 1980s and are now one of the Vaucluse’s most beautiful sites. Set at the very top of the village, they offer breathtaking views of the Rhone Valley from within their walls. By visiting the sensory workshop in the Hospices de Gigondas, you will be participating in the life of a venue which is part of history, culture and wine. Practical details: Free admission The sensory workshop is open everyday (except Monday) from 11 am to 7 pm. Closed between 1.30pm to 2pm.
